The Lure Fishing Handbook for Kayakers:
It doesn't take alot of imagination to realise why we fish lures from kayaks.

Stephen Olsen with a nice Wrasse from the kayak.
Yes, we call Wrasse 'Rockfish' or 'Rockies' locally.

Keith White with an average sized Jersey inshore bass.
Despite what you see on other kayak forums or read in books, we do it differently. We hardly ever use an anchor regardless of the fact that Jersey resides in harmony with some of the worlds largest tidal streams and range. Of course, all of our methods will work in addition to the methods you already know.
Our use of kayaks hasn't stopped at the use of sit on top types.
Coaching and training in the proper use of sea kayaks and short whitewater type boats has ensured we can reach places others dare not venture by day, or by night and, with fishing gear. This will be inclusive of open sea crossings, some of which could well be in excess of 20 miles in single legs.

Work is currently underway on a dedicated kayak lure fishing book. Extracts of which will appear here in the future.
