Remember that LRF and HRF are not restricted, at ALL.
A myriad of methods, fish and ways to approach and catch fish is what new saltlure is all about.
Bream were notoriously tough.

It started off with just the very odd one coming at night to small lures fished midwater. This one was caught 2 miles out on the skish.

Bream like this were getting to be commonplace using Japanese ISO techniques but, it wasn't until a full season later that we started to figure out lure caught LRF Bream. Each species demands it's own ruleset and understanding.

We started to unlock the secrets. Slowly but surely, Jersey resident Stephen Olsen finally found the key. Shortly thereafter, we were catching dozens of Black Bream where before, we caught none. Techniques, tackle and presentations had leapt forward yet again.

Not only now a spring through autumn Jersey target but also, a true southern UK LRF target. Mike Sullivan unlocked the bream along the south coast during 2011 just a few months later.

Smaller lures and light presentations seem key. Stephen deduced that the use of a full fluorocarbon mainline really improved catch rates and not because of visibility. Timing of the bite feels different using different lines and sometimes using a braid (PE) can result in you acting too fast.

This was the start of something special. Look at what happened in Australia back in the early 2000's. They now have a mainstream tournament bream circuit. Note: Our Bream are not the same species but they are just as much fun.
